What exactly is an affiliate marketer?

Alright let’s learn together what I have been researching. Starting with what is affiliate marketing. Basically it means you are the person between the customer and the merchant. For every customer you bring to the merchant you will get paid a commission.

You can recommend a product to a customer through your site, a blog or newsletter it doesn’t matter how you get the potential customer to the merchants site. The merchant wants to have as many affiliates (that is you) out there selling their products since you are spending your own money, your own time to the job it only benefits the merchant to have as many people like you working for them. It is always free to join an affiliate program. You just find good products and recommend them then get paid a commission. Now you can do this through many different avenues. I have heard of a few of them I am sure there are a ton of them out there, but the ones I hear about most are CJ, Clickbank
and eBay.

When you sign up for an affiliate program you are given a unique ID that will track your sales. So whether you put that link on your own website or a blog when a potential customer clicks on that link to go to the merchant it is tracked to your account. If the potential customer purchases something you are given a commission for bringing the buyer to the merchant.
