My journey to affiliate mom

May 1, 2009 by

I am an affiliate marketer (keep saying this aloud and it will be true). I am an affiliate mom – I have a son who is 8 and a daughter who is almost 3. My little girl started pre-school about 1 month ago. I am dedicating my precious hours while she is in school to working online, writing articles, and finding more out about the affiliate world.

The one thing I realized is that I need to set goals for myself or nothing will get done with affiliate marketing. I need to turn off the part of my brain that says ‘clean the kitchen’ ‘wash is done better get it in the dryer’ I have so many things I need to get done in the house, and without a 2 year old and an 8 year old at home I could actually get my house clean for once. But no, I need to stop thinking about that and close the door so I can focus on nothing but affiliates. The laundry and dishes will just have to wait until another time.

My precious hours alone will be dedicated to affiliates. Of course this will not be the only time of day to work on affiliates. There is always after everyone goes to bed, before everyone gets up, a 20 minute break when Little Bear is on so I can read or write another article. I just need to move forward because I know I can do this, I know there is money to be made out there, I just need to focus. Find a balance between wife, mom and affiliate mom. Balance and focus is all I need to be an affiliate mom…
